Then I began to see that the drink I took, took Me away into a maze of insanity where my soul was silent as memories stirred up stark abuse ... oh what was the use, anyway? So, I just drank. Ten long years went by then I did espy upon an insidious genetic code going all the way back to a Scottish still. It did foretell the chemistry programmed within me meant alcohol would always need more. No such thing as "socialize" ... like you have a drink and "so shall I." No, that would never be for a drunk I would die but now, after many more years of sobriety there is never a doubt that I'm a blessed old sot to have each day without a drop.
