Mermaids
Let me watch at that sea that I've been haunted when I was fourteen. My teens, at the high school, a normal day, a school trip that changed my life. A countryside girl with all kind of dreams. The most she wanted to be it was to stay with her family. One day she saw the sea, she stood up in front, looking straight, talking alone. On a cold winter rock she looked deep into the ocean blue waters. She was only fourteen but she made a promise. She will be back one day. Years later, by chance, she was looking at the same sea. Struggling for a future, she found so many friends. Little by little, she had a life in that beautiful city, surrounded by that haunted sea. Riazor beach, Orzan, A Coruña, what such wonderful names. Names that mean nothing to many, but a whole life to the one that write the lines. In front of that sea, I met my first love, the one that took part of my heart. Far away I am, deep inside I pray to God, to give me another chance to run in that park I used to do, to see those shining lights in the dusk. Far away, the whispers in my ears, the thoughts in my mind only take me to the begining: the rock I stood in front of when I was fourteen. Haunted by the infinite waters, the neverending sky and the mermaids living in that sea, next to the rock I stood on for the first time, that keep whispering in my ears to come back.
