Love In a Care Home Gone
If the only thing after all is said and done I have left come that fateful day I am predestined to meet my end Is I get to fall into your arms upon my final long decent down As for all the things I have seen and places I have been The only thing I wish to take with me when I leave Is only you and you alone As love I know I have been from the the moment we first met to this present day And although I don't bring you flowers shower you with gifts as I really should and you intern deserve What we have is love And if you die so shall I As if you love so shall I as well I love each precious passing moment more I get to spend with you just unashamedly watching you be you sat knitting in your chair I love you so much the thought of you getting old is far too hard to bare And seeing you now look at me as If I were a stranger being cared for by a stranger Stripped of all the memories of our entire life we spent both loving and caring for one another I'd rather the both of us fall into others loving arms for one final time as if it was our first And see each other on the other side once again As after all is said and done this is a fate far far worse than cruel than anything death can possibly offer Because if I cannot have and am unable any longer to love you Then surely I am dead already
