Introducing Me
You notice her there in the darkened shadows. You'd like to approach her but unsure how to. She gives off the air of someone withdrawn even untouchable. Little do people know that she is in fact delightful and lovable. She is optimistic, insightful, empathetic, and so much more. But she shrinks back from the crowd and inside remains unsure. Her ghosts, born from the damage of her past, keep tight shackles on her wrist. Allowing her to be present, but silences her lips. Look closely, you will see warmth in her eyes indicating she feels. She almost seems ghostly herself, although, you see she's quite real. When approached, she smiles so intensely that it beams from her eyes, her face, even her aura brightens. But quickly she reigns it in. She isnt withdrawn, altho she gives off that air. And she can read you more accurately, then most would even dare. But she keep those thoughts behind unmoving lips. Until her words spill, from her soul to her fingertips. That's where she holds her heart, her mind, and the days that she's lived. The sorrow, the joy, one girl, and two boys. Her life and the reflections of her past, come out in her verse. They come out raw, uncut, never rehearsed. So, if one truly wants to know who this mysterious woman could be. Then read what her heart feels, and what her soul bleeds. As I am her and she is me. Alone in my world watching closely and listening silently.
