Tattered
All the crazy things The night brings Lost to dreams Wood and beams Then I had to fire yesterday Couldn't forget what it had to say Lost to tick and the tock Couldn't keep up with the clock All the things I thought I had to do . Wasn't true As I walked by Thought I saw the stars cry A moment in time one asks why Along my way Bid an ol man good day Something hauntingly familiar about his walk Couldn't really hear his talk While wondering out aloud He seemed to draw a crowd It was so hard to see That it was really me How could that even be A tomorrow Where I lost to sorrow, Driven to beg and borrow Torn tattered I can see Life had left me battered. Bended but not broke apart Still standing as a new day awoke I tossed my self a dollar Hope ta hollar May of been a bum That may of bothered some I was alive ,still willing to fight. Not Lost to the night I was alive so I was doing alright
