Ebony Mountains
Far hidden betwixt and aloft mountains further than light, so sleep the dwellers of the eternal night. Moving silently, soft and quietly, Moving with fright, Carrying only our sweat and skin, making not a sound, Lest we art found, By the silhouettes that slumber beneath the ground, Within which they slept, Over which we fearfully leapt, Hearing the cries of endless flies, devouring stubborn flesh that never dies, holding dear all that we have; our still beating hearts and living lives. We run! Away, away in search of that elusive Sun, through darken dilapidated ruins devoid of light, trusting our fear sooner than sight. Away, away from the accursed shapes Cruelly borne of the devils' japes That send out stranger cries in tongues obliterate, Of half familiar voices illiterate.
