The Cares of Next Day's Light
Reaching deep into the night, time slowly passes on. Daylight hours have passed from sight and it's sounds are now gone. Gone are sounds that people make; this day some have labored. Nightfall brings a welcome break, a calm that is savored. Here in stillness, thoughts come forth recalling day's affairs. Written down, for what it's worth, I take this time to share. The point of what I'm sharing- times reaching through the night. God's peace keeps me from bearing the cares of next day's light. For now, all lays in silence. It's here, I hear Him speak. Warring thoughts lose violence as now, it's God I seek. As I spend time with Him here, The more I know He's there. In this calm, His voice is clear. He's with me, strength is shared. Time reaches on to the light and all that next day brings. I walk by faith, not by sight and to His strength I cling.
