Hunter and Monkey
Once upon a time, there was a swift hunter Chased deep into the distant dense forest While searching for animals, he saw a tiger Roaring, footslogging to a fresh meat nearest The hunter rushed to a vine, climbed on the tree Where he met the mother-monkey and her tot He begged to temporary stay with the monkey Both looked down: Tiger gated at tree-root spot They agreed to take turn to be a trust sentry The tiger ordered the monkey to kick man down He is the killer of our neighbors and your family Sorry! Wise act is to help life even with faults Late at night, the tiger had a smooth trickery Hey man! Your wife and kids miss you tonight I’ll let you go home if you push down the monkey Your wife and kids can’t eat nor sleep, but cry Faint hunter envisioned his wife’s tears at dinner Somberly pushed the monkey in a dicey trail The sleepy monkey’s neck held by fawning tiger Stupid tiger! Deadly part is at the edge of my tail Released the neck, turned to the tail of monkey Abruptly she jumped up to the treetop by vine I was sleepy and felt! Now we both are risk-free Relax! Nap! Pitiful hunter couldn’t close his eyes
