The Tale of the Holiday Devil
It’s not for the mere frail this cautionary tale of wicked yuletide fright Do come inside and sit hearthside on this dark and snowy night A chilling yarn from long before in the glorious days of yore At Christmastime, they all gather ‘round to sing and dance and make merry Those prone to mischief should be wary They may vanish in the night nay a sound Happiness is what St. Nick brings and many wonderful new things to all the good girls and boys most deserving But if your name lands on the naughty list you may just find coal, or here’s a cruel twist a vile beast comes for you unnerving Krampus is known as the holiday devil when summoned it isn’t a time for revel In the dead of night, he creeps into their room holding a birch rod and a large burlap sack tossed inside as their rear gets a whack screaming, they’re swallowed into the gloom Gone forever and sent straight to hell never seen again or so I’ve heard tell And all this because some children can’t behave There’s a moral to learn as you knew there would please heed my warning and strive to be good or you’re off to Krampus’s lair as his new slave
