May My Life Inspire You
“MAY MY LIFE INSPIRE YOU” (written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 11/13-14, 16-17, 2022) Dedicated to my son, Jayden Donald LeBlanc . I was only 16 when I passed away Yet I had many dreams That I planned to accomplish one day I bought my own motorcycle just before I turned 16 It was my first big accomplishment Towards attaining my dreams I was going to go to Treego for my very first time this fall I had just asked my girlfriend to go Sure wish I didn't stall I was pumped to go Skydiving when I was 17 This was a definite mission And not just a daydream Planned to travel Canada with my best friend in a year or two We were planning the whole thing out Perhaps with other friends in the crew When we graduated, we'd go into the army for 10 years This would pay for our schooling And we would enter similar careers Did you know I saved $10,000 when I turned 16? I knew that saving was the key In order to accomplish these dreams I was on a mission, oh yes, I surely was No one was going to stop me I wanted to live without a pause I wanted to enjoy my life while I had the chance Didn't want to wait till I was older And then do the regretting dance My last mission was a big long bike ride before returning to school A true ride of freedom Which I thought was pretty cool I went all the way to Peggy's Cove to see the beauty there I accomplished my dream While smelling the fresh sea air I may have died early and young But in that moment, I was doing what I loved And my heart had truly sung Yes I had dreams in life and planned for follow through Now I have just one last wish That my life will inspire you My hope is that in each of you, I will leave a trend To re-evaluate each of your lives Before it comes to an end May My Life Inspire You in the memories I left behind Please never let the pain of my loss Keep you all confined May My Life Inspire You to be all that you can be No matter how hard the course This is my only plea Please find strength in what makes you come alive Set some goals and take the steps Let your passion be your drive Yes, may my example inspire you to focus on your dreams And may my energy empower you So all your faces beam May you never lose hope or give up the fight For if you allow me to live through you This will give me a breath of life!
