Safe Journey Milton
I'm dreaming of those sandy beaches With every poem today I write Of my presence here please do not lose sight And may your holidays be bright! by L Milton Hankins Sandy beaches called to you Milton, how were we to know that one day soon All we would have left of you was your precious poems. I offered a prayer For you and asked God to take your through that safe journey home. Each one of us recalls you in a special way Milton, you were a special man. Journey on my friend go towards the stars where the light is everlasting Often, you would drop in to support us, with a truthful comment. You were Undeniably wise and truthful dear Milt. You will be missed, but as we Read your poems, we will remember you time and time again. Too Numerous are the poems you scribed, nothing can efface your golden quill. Easy going friendly and honest you were admired by many. Journey safe as You conjoin with the twilight & the moon. In our hearts we will make room Moonlight In Winter, 2nd to last poem, "fresh-fallen snow ~new dawn erases" I am sure you won't be forgotten nor effaced. I quote you again, Learning to love one another spontaneously, in "Pathway To Peace" Tokens of affection coming from each of us, we will remember you and smile Opened are the gates to heaven now, I hope your free from pain and fear. Narrow is the path to death but wide is The Kingdom of God. RIP Milton.
