An Old Year Sets Again
In the middle of the night, a corner of a star tenderly strikes the hourglass of time, The rays of a sunrise, a new sunrise, descend joyfully to the tired earth. Bright arrows of love from the burning heart of God, gush through the stars towards the deserted and frozen clay at night. It is winter in us, and it is cold even though Christ is Risen. An old year sets again, What a mystery! How many more flowers will rise again in us, and how many more tears will flow among the rains? The hourglass has turned. The sand flows fast, much faster than in the past springs, and our longings seem to have multiplied. It's so late, and You still haven't come! I gather the light from the morning dew, in my bare fists. I like to keep every drop. From my burned lips by so much life, fly flocks of psalms and songs, and a hot tear discretely kissed my face. The hourglass has turned. The sand flows fast, much faster than in the past springs. An old year sets again, What a mystery! At midnight the bells ring, and I silently dream of heaven.
