Knights of the Rolling Table
A knight fighting for his ruler's realm His king's kingdom of psalm With his might offers his life Saving a king all his life A second knight serves with bow And a deadly arrow to throw Aiming at enemy's clout Mouth of his sting without pout A third knight battles like a gladiator Using all weapons for his king's splendor Will die for his king's scepter Bearing a seal haunting any spectre A fourth knight trained to die and win Under his majesty will stand for thy skin Bravery in his heart, loyalty will not part 'til his last breath, earning his title by heart Four Knights of the Rolling Table Now competing before the stable Chosen horse to ride on for a lady's hand Pointed stick to hold on, or die with a soft hand Contest ended, all knights hurt and tended The Lady's hand was not won, only shown and extended Then Knights merged in the center Before the King and Lady's eyes, all bowed together
