Mariah
Mariah By Dane Smith-Johnsen Mariah, enigmatic mysterious and unknowable Brushed her dazzling obsidian hair in the brilliant sunlight. Indistinctive, but nonetheless inscrutable primal urges Foreshadowed what one might assume to be inevitable. Omniscient and powerful was the one that upon her gazed. He construed all manner of romantic imaginations. She, on the other hand, intuitively continued brushing. And having guessed his unscrupulous intentions was aloof. Lust, since the days of Odysseus and before have plagued mankind. The carnal can construe many illusions about such things. Mariah, being righteous, shunned love’s false impressions and remained. Resplendent, she sat alone in the park, brushing her soft locks. Kindhearted, was she, a natural born innocent beauty, too. Distant and quiet, she continued to stroke her long black hair. Dawn had clearly passed and noonday’s brightness shimmered upon her flesh. There she reposed in the grass pondering thoughts about her God. He, on the other hand, had devised an unfathomable plan. And with cunning conceit drew closer to the unblemished lass. Dazzling her with his splendid words and refined charms, he gained her trust. A primitive desire for forbidden passion ruled him. Gullible and alone, she received his promises of friendship. Unbeknown to her, his mind, was brewing a different scheme. The naive girl, laughed inside quietly for found companionship. She ambled with him, unaware of his ulterior plot.
