My children who’ve grown wings of freedom, have flown away to the sky they have chosen. In the new year I wish they all will return to the longing nest I will make for them. In my earnest pledge I will hopefully resolve, I will mend with love the hearts I’ve unknowingly broken. The dreams that have eluded me in the year going by, I wish to fulfill before they’re abandoned in the wrap of time. For those in the dark night linger in the domain of despair, a heartening dawn of hope I will seek in the new year. For those ailing and suffering I will pray for God’s grace, wishing the new year won’t take too soon my allotted time. ________________ December 17, 2022 Contest : Resolutions For 2023 Sponsored by : Anoucheka Gangabissoon
