Born With a Soul
There is a spot in my heart of hearts that is designed to accommodate a soul. My mind is skeptical that such a thing exists and yet, I know that there is a part of me that wants to believe it does. I can't explain it scientifically, my mind and heart don't always agree. And it took more than a leap of blind faith to convince me; I needed to feel I had a soul, not just be told I did. And yet, despite my initial cynicism, I can't deny that I do. It may not be realistic or provable, but I believe it is true! Think of it as a shadow, invisible in the darkness of reality, yet nonetheless, it is there, a connection to the impossible that links intangible hopes to the realm of possible and even probable! I have accepted what I believe to be innately true; human beings are born with a soul.
