Serendipity
I met my wife in such a way, is hard to comprehend Both went to music in the park, just following the trend I sat there bathed in symphony, my mind was in the cloud The music it enraptured me, I did not feel the crowd When the intermission came, I headed for my car I brought my own refreshments, the very best there are A girl was standing near her car, looking all around I asked have you a problem, her gaze went to the ground I stood there waiting for some time, hoping for reply She said the door won't open, and I have no idea why I wondered just what I could do, would she let me to try I would like to help her, I was only passing by She gave me the ignition key, the button I depressed Not surprised when nothing happened, she was no fool I guessed We would have to call the auto club, the only thing to do I knew that I could do no more, I didn't have a clue Went back to where I left my seat, said all would be ok I got another from my car, and near her car we'd stay Didn't hear another sound , other than her voice To bring my own refreshment, there was magic in that choice We talked about I know not what, the mechanic fixed the door I ask if she could stay a while, so we could talk some more We sat there 'till the crowd had gone, she asked to meet again Said we must have been sent here, that was very plain So lady luck she played the part, as serendipity is known Had I not taken my refreshment, and she not been on her own Our lives would be in parallel, never would they cross We would have never met each other, and never known the loss
