U - C, I - C: Nursery Rhyme
*Image of Alphabet Blackboard by Pixabay. U - C, I - C: Nursery Rhyme *Rhyming meter similar to, "Little Miss Muffet." Tommy and Peggy were a bit edgy, doing their A B C's, then came Miss Hammerschmidt, they almost had a fit, when she had passed, they arched their knees. The sound of the bell will break up the spell, and free them from their tests, till Miss Hammerschmidt shared, "If you're done, she declared, may leave ... so be quick!", she suggests. The bell had just rung, the whole class had sprung, gave her a sight most pleased. While Tommy played, he spoke, "I had cheated--no joke." Peggy said, "Hope not mine," she teased. "My contact lens broke, and words look like yolk, so I guessed the spelling." "I might fail, caused by you," he said, "Lens?", "I'd no clue, --thanks, 'Petty' now that I'm sweating!" "She's in a tight spot," she said, "and forgot, to bring her eyeglasses, that is why we're all done, so enjoy all the fun, I know that all indeed passes." Recess has ended though felt suspended, Miss Hammerschmidt was still, she said she was troubled, and slightly befuddled, her new contact lens caused a shrill. "The spelling was bad." She said, "That was sad." "As you see I can see." "There's no need for glasses, no recess just classes, do your best till school ends at three." 2022 November 19 *1st Place* Be Creative ~~Eve Roper: 2022 November 21
