The Father of Love Looks After Me Just Fine and Dandy
You’re so hard on me You don’t see the good that I have done You’re ashamed of me, I see And you don’t acknowledge that I’m your son Maybe, tomorrow, you’ll see me in another light And apologize for making me feel less than alright You’re overrighteous attitude Is rather selfish and rude I love you still, father, though you hurt me Emotionally, mentally and psychologically You said I’m nothing but trouble…possibly… You don’t see anything good inside me But, I look up, way up above And see the Father of love — He gets rid of the father of lies He hello’s my goodbyes… The Father of love looks after me Fine and dandy, fine and dandy Do me a favor and be more like Him perhaps Maybe I’ll respect you more…and do less mishaps And have less relapses and less distresses Maybe I’ll figure a way out of this mess we’re in I love you, dad, but you made me feel sadness It makes me mad and sad that I’m a finless dolphin In the sea of lost love — That’s where I rove… Dad, I think you have amazing discernment, super intellectual and significant You care so much for my family and I should respect you a lot more than I can fathom But, remember, I’m God’s son too and I’m not self-centered, foolish and ignorant You share so much with us all and I appreciate all you do sincerely — you must be awaiting God’s Kingdom Like me… I see… Father, oh fearless father… You’re unlike any other — much like my marvelous mother Even though we have our struggles and our weaknesses and flaws and regrets We need to forgive each other of our heartless actions and sins — I’m no longer upset and piled up with emotional debts
