I Must Come Back To This Nightclub - Part 1
I must return to this nightclub again I know I break promises but this one I walked in and took a corner The DJ paused the music in the air And said with a real bad tone Who parked the Limousine at the bay Silence, except some kisses of glass Everyone turned their eye to me And my self esteem grew My esteem swelled by a belly The waitress catwalking straight to me With careful respect Her apron galloped Across the spectacular silence While balancing the tray The car moved out and all eyes went out The music went on I must buy a Limo Next day. I bought a limo, like the very same one parked it at the entrance And no one said a thing. I waited for words Words of esteem But nobody talked I stayed till morning A patient owner, playing with the key Sipping glass class after class Exuding taste for hours looking sharp in the wallet Nothing cheap on my table On I went till dawn The DJ left at dawn The servers left at dawn Without their eyes everyone left I too staggered out carefully I looked once then stared The limo was gone Who took the limo Said I to the gateman The owner my friend, said his mouth He gave me tip, for keeping a look I must come back to this nightclub And I did but straight to the DJ I say in middle and waited He said in clear voice Who stole a limo yesterday All eyes turned to me Silence A policeman walked straight to me And the music played
