What the Serpent Sang To Eve
What am I in the sunlight? Shadow! And what am I in the moon's glow? Sun! I shine in the night in the pale moonlight to light the way for everyone. I stand in the shifting everything and im changing with each one. I am hanging on the end of my limb and I am bright red and singing I am singing 'come and catch me!' to the reaching hands below. I remember I used to run so fast, Oh god! I used to flow! I'd run till my lungs felt like bursting Where did that energy go? but, life is not only about my flesh, is it? The body always gets slow, But the mind retains that energy if you know how to know. And I know. I know. I am going where I need to go. come with me friend, we'll go tother into that dark below. Into that dark, black mystery where the shadows always go. Don't be afraid, we are together singing.
