She Went With the Autumn Wind
Leisure feet moved slowly, As I embarked on my return, By the same road that has kissed my feet, Since time was born for me. The autumn moon lit, What was rather a dead night, Chatterings of the stove, waves of laughter filled, What was rather a dead night. But I was not lone, Not too far, there I saw, Amidst the white flowers of dreams, She walked in steps steady. The dead night was revived, The flowers flew in the passionate wind, So did her hair like the gentle ripples of a lake, But she was unmoved and walked in steps steady. Where did she live? I wondered, The land seemed too brutal for her feet, The wind too angry, Yet she walked in steps steady. Perhaps she was from the heavens, She shall return when a new rainbow bridges the sky, In her dress pure white, She will walk in steps steady. There she will drink the Manna Dew, Where the land will be soft as the pink petals of roses, The wind calm as the Daffodils, She can walk there in steps steady. The road divided itself, And she chose the path I cannot embark, I stood and watched her go, As she walked in steps steady.
