The Incredible Disappearance of Six Year Old Dennis Martin
One of the greatest coverups of Park Rangers and The FBI took place in The Great Smokey Mountains National Park in Tennessee on June 14, 1969. It involved a six year old named Dennis Martin who was on vacation with his father and grandfather. William Martin and his dad and son were camping near Spence Field. It was a vacation they took every year. There was another Martin family there, no relation. They had several boys with them. They got to know each other and decided to go and play a game of hide and seek. Dennis was being watched by his father as he went behind a nearby bush, hiding. The other boys went in a different direction, also hiding behind some trees. After a while the other boys came back but Little Dennis had not. His father called for his son to come out from behind the bush, to no avail. He ran frantically looking and calling. Screaming and yelling for his beloved son. He ran two miles down an Appalaching trail looking but not finding. He asked his dad to hike down and go to the Ranger station and get help. Soon they had one of the largest search parties ever. Involving Park rangers, volunteers, and Military that were nearby, Special forces Green Berets were brought in. A total of 1500 searched. It started raining and it made searching very difficult. On June 19th the Green Berets told the Park Rangers they were taking over the search. Mr Martin was assured he would be told everything about the case by the FBI. He wasn't. He was not told that five miles away, was a gentleman by the name of Harold Keys and his family who had seen what appeared to be a Hairy Like Human running and carrying a screaming boy over his shoulder with a red shirt, going up a hill. The FBI dismissed the information saying it was not credible evidence, and did not report it to Mr Martin. This story gets crazier. The Green Berets spent a week in the woods. Their mission was finally completed. One of the Soldiers told FBI agent Jim Rike that they found the little boy's skeleton, his red shirt, and other human skeletons. He said, " They killed 30 feral humans (Bigfoots) and killed the one that snatched Dennis Martin." He stated also, "That they could not tell his parents, because they would be devastated." It was assumed it ate the child. Soon after, the FBI agent who was told this information Jim Rike, commited suicide and the Green Beret who told him died in a mysterious car accident. The men paid a dear price for talking. (Based on a True Story) Michael Tor
