I, for one, revel in the warmth of spring Long for the greening of May and June, Anticipating the activities of summertime During these months I sing a brighter tune. I must admit I enjoy the holiday festivities From Halloween fun to Christmas cheer, But blasts from the north are unappealing Leading to January and a brand-new year. I’ll do my very best not to grouse and carp As the mild temps plunge into low zeroes, And I’ll try to be cheerful, raising a glass To 2022’s victories, records, and heroes. But I’ll not be convinced winter is terrific While I am here shivering and shaking, [Probably I’m suffering from another flu] – When I say I have S.A.D., I’m not faking, Enjoy your outings to the ski resorts, too, But remember me here turning all blue!
