The Glorious Storm
As clear skies fade from blue to gray The joy of life’s past sails to yesterday Yet I find myself..... Living in the glory of the storm Because the love you gave ….brought with it such joy and sorrow Just like you.. Passion was here today and gone tomorrow But I was so alive….. living in the thrill of it all It was like standing in the path of a hurricane The chaos you brought drove me insane Never knowing what to expect from you next Standing in the eye or at the apex Nothing can compare with the life I lived Standing in the glory of the storm The winds blew strong with rain and hail If you were coming or going I could never tell I was too busy living in the moment….. and grateful for every thrill You came crashing through with your waves and tides With wide eyed terror I felt so alive And all the while…. Bracing myself for the damage you’d leave behind But oh how I loved…… Yes I loved …. living in the glory of the storm
