Indian Heat
I look toward the swish swish tree I named it this at only three Whilst watching lizard frog and snake Crawl and wind their way to make. I look toward the garden seat I sat on this to dream in the daytime heat Whilst wondering when I would meet my mate Would she be arranged or would she be fate. I look toward the shady pool I lounged here playing romantic fool Whilst deep dark eyes dripped love to me Weaving my real destiny I look toward the high blue sky I saw no cloud drifting by Whilst the sun burned my heart to black Knowing he would never be back I look towards the silent house I live inside as a silent mouse Whilst writing the lines of a love with no name Which others will speak in time with no shame Oh India my beloved love My heart my soul my death and my dove Your Gods know my longing and of my lust Whilst Mother Earth will rejoice When I return to her dust.
