My House of Pain
Pain is moved in and changed me into someone I don't know. I served an eviction notice, but still it refuses to go. It made itself right at home, comfortable inside my head. I told pain it wasn't welcome. I want to live alone instead. I told it I don't have the room, it takes up to much space. I knew it would be much more at home in a darker, gloomier place. I knew from the very first day. Without a question or any doubt. The two of us coinciding, was never going to work out. I told it I don't like the way it leaves the house a mess. Or the volume of its constant thoughts when my brain begins to rest. So I asked pain what it had planned, how long it thought it would stick around. Pain told me it would only leave, when the city of happiness is found. I told pain if it didn't leave before it was too late. The punishment would be permanent and the consequences great. Since it absolutely refused to leave. I had to shut the house it lived in down. A forced eviction to a pine box, six feet underground.
