I Am Slowly Dying
There are not enough tears to form from my eyes/ I cannot feel my face from time to time/ Sorry, if I left you all alone from this moment on/ Because I cannot talk, I cannot speak, I cannot write, I cannot feel this poem/ Oh, God I wish I was lying/ To all my loved one's out there/ Don't cry for me just hold on with despair/ I will never leave you all alone/ This poem or song will forever live on/ I pray please God give all my loved one's your strength they need/ After they bury my body and then cover me with grass seed/ I am slowly dying/ I have seen the darkness and the light/ And please don't worry this will not be my last poem/ Just think of me as a little bird singing it to you all my song/ Trust me I have written so many that I actually lost count/ I think it's all in one of my old shoe boxes underneath the couch/ I cannot beat the inevitable/ But my only promise to you all I will not end up like a vegetable.
