As I fly through the air hanging on for dear life, I can’t help but see my life flash before my eyes. I see scenes from childhood, long before I met my wife, And I can’t help but wonder, “Have I always had big thighs?” Anyway, let’s get back to the story at hand, Which involves a wonderful lesson about giving. This story is a message about where one may stand On the Spirit of Christmas and how we are living. Too many people take for granted this great season. They think Christmas is only about receiving gifts. People should give for a completely different reason. It’s not about the presents, but the spirits they lift. Take, for example, a little girl in school Who has always felt as though she never fit in. All it takes is one compliment from those she thinks are cool To lift her spirits and warm her heart from within. Or what about the dying man who has no one Who volunteers his time every single weekend? He chooses to spend his life helping others have fun Rather than count down the days until his untimely end. I go all the way around the world once a year Delivering dreams to the good and hope to the bad. The one thing I see that most people seem to fear Is living a life that they wish they never had. Whatever life we live is what was meant to be, And we must remember that there’s a reason we’re here. If we think of others first, it’s possible we’ll see A world in which we never shed another tear.
