Misplaced Judgments
Collaboration with Marcello Eans As I walk along during the holiday season In this city made up of so many cultures, I begin to wonder if we’re her for a reason Or just fodder for the prejudice of vultures. No matter who we are or where we come from, There’s always going to be problems we must face. In a world full of hatred, we need to overcome Judgments towards others that have been so misplaced. There’s a lot of good out there around this time of year. It’s all around us, no matter where we look. So, why is it that the rest of the time, we live in fear, Instead of looking to Jesus and the chances he took. He lived a life in which he loved everyone he met. Not once in his travels did he turn someone away. There are lessons to be learned that we should never forget, Like not judging others for the bed in which they lay. My purpose appears worthless amongst a surplus of people. Counted as half a man, “Will I ever be equal?” Why should I try, apply, or put forth effort When the forces of evil try to keep LO & VE separate? Could be we’re different, rich or poverty stricken. Middle class & working, the clock keeps tickin’. Calendars turn: Question, “Will peace prevail?” In our view of one another, we should see ourselves. Should I be held responsible for those before me, Or, should I be judged for what I do on my own? At the moment of conception, we are all free To follow the one true Judge and never be alone. People seem so intent on having power That they forget to look inside to see where they’re from. Soon, the day will arrive when, at the given hour, People will see that eternity is only for some.
