Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required It happened to us twice In a Southern city. May it suffice to share one experience with you. We had moved and needed to obtain new drivers licenses. After following the GPS system without success, I asked for directions to the local DMV office. We did not realize that there was a separate DMV office for drivers licenses which is the one we wanted. Where we were from, there was just 'A DMV Office'. It served every purpose for vehicles and vessels. Realizing that we were new in town, the kind gentleman said, "Follow me". We grew up in the South but had been residing in the West for more than 40 years. The world has changed and grown more estranged than ever. We have little to no time for each other; much less for strangers. Goods and services must move at 'lightning speed', and everything must be delivered 'yesterday'. So, the "Follow me" reply to my request, although most refreshing, took me off guard, because it was very unusual. If hospitality was a species, it would most assuredly be close to extinction. When we arrived at the front doors of the DMV, I could not wait to express our appreciation to the young gentleman. He was indeed a treasure to his state. I informed him that we had just moved from another state, and that he was the true meaning of "Hospitality". 073122PS
