The Lost Sceptre
He was the first to step into the murky water, Others stood by to watch, They had to wade through, It was the only route to the other side. Not everyone can embark on a mysterious journey, It takes the brave-hearted to decide to, It takes tenacious minds to advance through, The hope of the land rests on their shoulders. The curse has to be lifted, The evil ravaging the land has to cease, Darkness looms over the land and has to disperse, The turbulence needs to be assuaged. They were able to retrieve the enchanted sceptre, It was a death-defying journey, They resisted the opposing forces, They broke through the veil. They were honoured for their bravery, The land returned to its former days, Joy and peace swept through the land, The men were immortalized. July 27, 2022. One In Five 2 Poetry Contest, No. 1.
