The Day I Found Myself - Title By Steve Miller
The beauty around me is so hard to explain, With the endless fields of snow and high snowy peaks. How could emotions of the artist have been contained While creating all of this in less than a week? My emotions change constantly as I ponder About what kind of patience it takes to create Such a place that makes one’s mind so still, yet wander. All art should strive to invoke such a mental state. As I look across this desolate place of white, I can’t help but feel so very alone, yet free. Every thought I have is so peaceful and light. Here at the top of the world, I can be me. I can be me, the way that I’ve always wanted, Without the fear of how someone else will see me. I can be me, with a future that’s not haunted By a past that I felt from which I had to flee. For days, all I’ve done is think, and think, and think About who I really am and where I belong. The beauty here has taken my mind to the brink And I’ve come out the other side ever so strong.
