Taal Volcano
TAAL VOLCANO Free Verse " Small But Terrible" That's what many people think of you More than two weeks ago Your reputation was proven true. Towns and cities were locked down Because of the ash fall you spewed Many businesses were unoperational Animals were left unattended and died. Houses were closed and dilapidated No more to go but to evacuation centers But Pilipinos have proven their love and affection Hospitality once again was proven. In evacuation centers basic necessities flooded Dental, medical assistance were rendered From far flung areas of the nation Unconditional love were handed over " How good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity " Crab mentality shouldn't be seen during calamity Let love, care, dignity and integrity be felt in the air. Today, me and my wife went to Tagaytay A city affected by the fury of Taal Business in every place is as usual Cleaning of houses, stores and churches alike Sweet smiles in every face Trying to go back to the saddle again Everyone paddling its own canoe Everyone putting their best foot forward. We took some pictures " of the ghost town " Tears rolled down my face I could feel the agony people experience Trying to stand with dignity and courage MABUHAY KA PILIPINO! Long live Pilipinos
