Teasing Johnny Brownie
Johnny Brownie sits high up in the maple tree, Tossing with his feet, all kinds of stuff on me. I roll my eyes, for his ways are so transparent. His insatiable love for me so readily apparent. I knew he had a crush on me, of course. I am pretty in the face and I laugh like a horse All the boys seem to like their women merry and gay. I walk underneath him, with my happy sashay. Hey Faerie Pinkie how are you? He yells down to me. I keep walking, knowing he will jump down from the tree. Where are you going? He asks, trying to keep up with my feet. I ignore him a bit for guys think this is a special love treat. He tries to catch up, bouncing around like an in-love fool. My mother looks out the window and watches Johnny Brownie drool. Why do you to this to him? She asks me later. Isn’t it a bit mean? It keeps him interested, and I may want to date him when I am a teen.
