The Roads Not Taken
Regrets on the roads not taken. Wondering what would have happened, What could have happened, If I just gave love one more chance. Would my heart be whole or, Still as empty and broken, As it is now. The one and only to ever feel, Died in my arms and that, Is also where my heart died. I see you when you come, For me at night. Standing there just looking, Making sure I'm alright. I feel you as my heart breaks. I yearn for you every day every night. I watch the same movies over and, Over again only because they're yours. Are you still waiting for me? I know your always there, Especially when the lights flicker. It's always at night, When I miss you the most. I put your shirt on your pillow, So when I drift off your, Always near me. I woke up one morning and, Your shirt was gone. I looked in the corner and, It was folded in the chair. That's when I knew you were here.
