Ever After
Ever After My man is working outside. He was in the hospital only weeks ago. I am beside myself, with humble thankfulness, that he is home at all. Miracles are real, and they are everyday, in our lives, and the lives of those we love, if we but take the time to see. There is nothing that can stop him. He is a busy man. He does everything he is supposed to do. He is my hero, here... The Lord gave him to me. I have no words to say, how that truly makes me feel. My every attempt falls short, as there is no way to paint a perfect picture on an imperfect canvas, that is the paper and print of my life. In the morning we are together. We work alongside each other, at times pulling and pushing the limits of our boundaries. At other times, complimenting our existence by finishing each other sentences, nearly before they are given air. In the afternoon we break, to dance in a meadow near the river. The birds sing, and the squirrels join us at times. In the evening we are home again, together for the whole day. They are moving too fast my love, the calendar is sliding by... fully noticed and hated for its acceptance of our limits. We are one, and that will always be, important to me, in ways... yet to be known, but full of promise. I love you.
