A Fun Tryout With My Dear Sweet Lady
eating an apple the only language i know now eating an orange the only language i know now eating a banana the yuckiest inevitable change i am continuing to make eating a salad it is sad and not funny what high blood pressure, atrial flutter, and three heart procedures can do to the mind once set i think i will try to make one of them there smoothies i think i will have a rice cake or two with it how about a trip to the farmer's market how about an excursion a grocery store, the whole foods version the places that i am passing by has my stomach growling like it's 1980 what i would not give for what i used to eat right now my mind's tongue can taste it all my dear sweet lady, my savior, now a makeshift nutritionist (who knew), sees the signs like an ace of bass cassingle and holds my hand i feign laughter and curse her internally for i want no smoke today i just sigh like watching jai alai then, like the True Blessing that my dear sweer lady is, she says 'let's have a taco salad today' newly encouraged, i reply 'how about a healthy shrimp burrito' no answer, just a sweet rolling of the eyes we eat four shrimp burritos each happily ever after we'll worry about the charmin and the plunger when it all comes......out
