What Fascinates Me
I stand in awe of courageous women Brave women who have broken out Thrown off the shackles of domination Said there is more to life, I deserve it Who speak passionately without fear And are willing to die for a just cause. I stand in awe of thoughtful women Who raise their children with values Teaching them to do what is right Admonishing them when necessary Realizing they are molding the future. I stand in awe of strong women Who claim their rightful place in life Teaching by excellent example Unafraid to be bold when bullied. I stand in awe of gracious women Who stand tall and wear a smile Who are admired for their presence. I stand in awe of talented women Who sing, dance and make us laugh. I stand in awe of my mother!
