Jesus's disciples asked in Mark 11:1-2, lord teach us to pray .... They were good Jews & observed feasts & sacrifices at the temple ( in Jerusalem) but why ask Jesus? 2. Jesus prayed to Abba Father before any decision; even the famous feeding of multitudes with one boys lunch ...Jesus offered prayers as if doing Communion. The disciples saw, observed & experienced the power Jesus got through prayer. They wanted more than RELiGION could give. 3. We all need to learn how to pray & worship, " in spirit and in truth." Jesus told this to tradition bound Jews & Samaritan's in John 4. Still. He said the Holy SPIRIT would complete his teaching (John 16:7-13). So, we ask & tell this problem to the Spirit: Holy SPIRIT of God, teach me to pray in ways that please God. Thank you Victor B., and PS for this opportunity. I didn't know how to pray ...
