The Ark
Two by two, They went in, Male and female alike, They needed to bond, Increase in number, From the least to the greatest, From the smallest to the largest, In their kind, specie and class, Noah’s list included all, He was given the dimensions, The ark needed to carry them, In twos and their types, Until the windows of heaven were shut, Until the floods abated, It was a lavish fountain flow, Heaven's tears for man's rebellion, Only Noah’s family found pride in place, They would begin a new world, They would be forerunners of a new system, The deluge inside of me, A part of me is submerged, I’m in anticipation of dry grounds, I’m in earnest of a new world, Where troubles, chaos and anarchy sheath their swords, My heart, my ark, Not the size of Noah’s, But could carry as much, In search of a safe harbour.
