Day Light To Darkness.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>When I open my eyes, I long to see, The sun shinning through my window on me. It warms my body, from my head to my toes, It puts a smile on my face, turns my heart a glow. I jump out of bed , and head down the stairs, Mother was kneeling, down saying her morning prayers. Dad was out in the chicken coupe, getting fresh eggs, Mom was cooking bacon, as i pulled on her leg. She looked down at me with a big wide grin, Would you go up to the spare room and wake uncle Ken. Tell him breakfast will be ready in a blink of an eye, Then we are all going in the car for a ride. We went to the ice cream parlor, then to the store, On our way home , we drove by the shore. The ocean was blue, you could see it for miles, Like a picture from a story book, it just made you smile. Night time comes early, so i am off to my bed, Give thanks to the Lord , for watching over our heads. For keeping us safe , through out the day, Our Lord and saveiour showed us the way.
