Swiftly the Miles Fly By
Traveling along country roads for many miles. Early morn's sun blinding my eyes. Outside chill blocked by the internal warmth of the truck and swiftly the miles fly by my eyes. azaleas in blossom spring green leaves begin to show.... buzzards circle high An occasional far spaced farm then homes become closer together indicating a small rural town. The beauty of spring inspired by man surrounds each home. Dogwoods in white and some pink adorn their yards. So much pride shown in the surroundings. Passing a country town church sign "Find Hope This Easter". hope springs in spring roadside wildflowers flourish.... farmers plant their crops Grancy greybeard(fringetree) and snowball bush decorate some yards. Such refreshing species to add interest to our drive. Then we came around our home and down to the creek. I was welcoming the swallows that flew around us as we drove through the grass stirring up bugs. So delighted that they are back. I love their aerial antics and they eat so many bugs. Such a nice ending to my day out.
