Porch Swing Melodies
I need freedom from this disease And to heal from What happened to me. There are things I can't control That harmed me And created fear. I must begin to heal From The things that nearly broke me. I need to overcome this fear. I'm afraid to let go Of the past, It haunts me. Without pain, Without the rage, Who am I? Did all this damage change me? It makes my hear ache, It's so much weight To carry. You help me carry the pain? They say when it rains it pours, Without the pain, Without this rage, Who am I? Maybe this damage made me Into something more. Oh, I have to remind myself How far I've come When my head starts to fill With memories I hate. This is it, I have to let go And forgive myself, Or it will all be in vain. Take me to safety, Take me with you. Don'twanna be alone Stuck in my head, I remember my every sin. I ask one more rime, Who am I Without pain? Who am I Without this rage? As I step out of the cage I'm no longer bound by chains. The pain and rage Is behind me, I can finally bury the past. Now keep me from going back to What destroyed me, No more stains on my memory. Lift the haze that surrounds me, Grant me freedom from hell, Help me forgive myself And wish me well
