Hush
Hush my love, feel my finger on your sweet lips, I am telling you that what we share between us no one shall ever know exists You can banish me to a castle shrouded by fog where no one dares to go, and there you can lock me up in a prison in chains so that my tortured mind can take its toll Just look into these crystalline eyes of mine and see the tears shimmering within, and tell me is it worth it to bring what we once shared to an end? If so, I will slowly release my finger that is perched upon your sweet lips, and envision instead that it’s my lips touching yours instead of just my fingertip Hush my love, I already know the outcome, I know what you’re going to say, there is no need to break my heart anymore, no need to make false promises to keep my emotions at bay There is no need for pretty words to lessen the fall, I have been inside of your arms, I have lived my life to the fullest, I have loved with my all So just remember the touch, the feeling of my sweet lips, the look in my sad eyes, and let me kiss my fingertip that once touched the lips of the love of my life So that I can have a piece, as waning as it may be, it’s all that I have left of you here with me.
