My past a component of many things, this is who I am Proud or ashamed, I do not know, I think we all have this It makes us all, of course at different levels, intensities Exposure is never easy, private thought is easy, to let it out is hard Seems today I am in this moment I am lucky, I love one who understands, who is willing, who knows how to listen For this I am grateful, yet cautious, for her My old world is not a nice journey to repeat, of course many moments of joy Yet the darkest moments are not good nor easy places to go for me or others And so yes, cautious, I care so much for her I do not want her injured, tainted, affected But I trust, know she understands, connects, supports I feel honoured that I have such a person in my life And carefully, softly I tread this new path, and will learn to open up In time Jan 2022
