Guilt
GUILT Worry less young days Responsibilities never stays I acted based on impulse I cried based on emotions And I raged based on the fury. A child needed no jury The walk ways were her playground The tin cans were her new pots Little sticks were her new hands I grew in style and modesty In beauty and stature Became aware of nature And was told of honesty Had a young attraction I loved a boy my age Just in our relationship stage It felt right we loved it I grew in knowledge of God Realized his undying love Sins revealed, my eyes were open This is a sin, that shouldn't be.... Yet I held on to the love My unusual young love "This is a sin" father said "This is iniquity" spirit said "This is unclean" son said I was guilty I knew then.... I wanted the feeling of him around I wanted the memories of him ajar It's a sin afar It's not at hand I need him around Do you understand I knew it was wrong It couldn't be right I thought too much My chest was tight If only... With this guilt of mine. DEDICATED TO: (THE BELOVED)
