Never Going Back To See Old May
If you can outfox the broom you may stay I thought this was a weird sentiment to convey A most unusual phrase from my cousin Old May Then the crone did a two-step sunshine sashay. She brought tiny ham sandwiches out on a tray I nibbled a small bit, for I am faerie, and fey. You can eat more than that! Said a cocky blue jay. I choked on the ham, my face turned a bit gray. Hey! What did you put in her food, Old May? The crone smiled and said “She’ll be okay”. I drove straight home, down the busy freeway. Resolving to never go back after that day. If she invites me, I shall always say nay. I threw away May’s address down by the bay. The blue jay came to me in the month of May. To say May’s funeral was at two on a Tuesday.
