We Already Had That Book
Half of the kindergarten students said, “We already had that book”. I was not sure about it, I did not think so, but they were adamant. The other half yelled that they had never seen it before. They are apparently the non-listeners because I looked it up today. Yesterday when I looked it up, two of my pages stuck together. So, I did not see that I had given them this book and lesson on 9/02. It is now 11/16, and I gave it to them for a second time. The subject cannot be reiterated often enough, though. So, it is probably okay. I am the school counselor. It is my job to introduce them to a concept and revisit it. Kindness, cooperation, respect, responsibility, etc. I am not making the same mistake today though. I changed the lesson.
