It's said that fairies and dragons were kin, should you spot one, the other was nearby. They both loved the sounds of a mandolin and somehow magically learned to fly; often zipping across the open sky quick as you please, in the wink of an eye. But jealous villagers hunted them down, and dragons and fairies often got slain. Where the forest once grew, folks built a town and then sowed open meadows with their grain. Both dragons and fairies feared Man's disdain, learning never to trust humans again. Were they creatures of imagination, or were they once part of God's creation?
